20 Years ago New Zealand decided to be nuclear free and banned nuclear powered and armed ships from our ports. The US Givernment dropped us from ANZUS which was our local treaty, stopped doing ,ilitary exercies with us and wouldn't allow us to have a free trade agreement. Most people aren't aware of this and of course we are very good friends with the US people, its just that the US government thinks we are naughty kids that need to go and stand in the corner until we behave, anyway that's my soapbox for today:)
